| yikes! 26 now.. its been a long year in ways. being long distance and at well.. unease about risks.. yet not satisfied with where i am yet. (career, location). as much as i used to hope and dream of complacency. i am not quite ready to 'settle' to my old man dreams of a family, house, suburbia life just yet. i do hope this rings true in the future. that i will not struggle and look back a year or few from now and regret.
i think this will be an exciting chapter in my life. A year that i may be doing little in the world's view. but big in my personal growth, my spiritual life, my friends and family, and this very significant.. significant other =)
it has been a year of seeing friend grow in their lives. with many marriages, moving in, babies
here's to looking forward.
happy birthday me =) | | |
| wow. hard for me to digest that. when you get to the point where you actually feel a good deal older. not because of the time that passes... but the life that you see yourself living that is ever-so-different from before.

| the first day we flew into san jose and played with my nephew
dean and ate at my sister's place. dean wobbles around and has the same
obsessive-compulsive-keep-everything organized trait as my sister. he's
a really happy and cute baby.
the next morning we went san fran by cal train
and ate at china town for lunch (worst meal; apparently later we learn
that there is no good chinese resturants in SF's china town) . walked
about union square, moma, papabeard and met up with wenny's cousin/cousin-in-law for dinner at
the fairy building. (also bumped into a former "celebrity" tawanese vj and a girl we both though was attactive; just mentioning it to be fair =P) dinner, we ate at an expensive oyster bar and i had this
amazing clam chowder filled with fresh steamed clams in the shell. next
day we had a picnic out past the presidio outlooking the golden gate bridge,
bay, mountains, and downtown city. its a nice place.
we
did a bunch of other touristy things but it was really fun as we stayed
however long or short we felt like. overlook of the city, lombard
street, deyoung, looked at bison, visited various neighborhoods, saw
robbin william's pink house, and drove down the hilly roads of sf. for
dinner we ate at "foreign cinema" they play old movies off a projector to a
outside white cement wall and audio is fed through "drive-through movie"
speakers. the movie is different every night and so is the menu.
movie was breakfast with tiffany's and it was your fancy resturant menu.
ate live sea urchine (which we agreed it tasted kinda like paint, or at least
somethign very chemical). food was good. restaurant is rather
unique, every seating section is extremely different from the others.
train backed to sj and we hung out with dean more, had dimsum, walked
around sanata cruz / mall area (main hangout spots in the area), ate my
sister's cooking, and the next day in and out.
last leg of my flight
got delayed due to heavy winds, then i missed the 2am train because of the
awful reps telling us the wrong information. next train was at 5. and
they just said.. its only 3 more hours.
still the best flight i've had

| Woke up early this morning so I could buy this for my not-so-computer-fluent and even more computerless sister before work this morning. Walking around the back of my car and after putting my lunch in the back seat, I stepped into my car to see the hopes that lay forth this rainy monday morning.
freaking owned.
at least it wasnt leaking.

| It's that time of the of year.

Not much to say here but thank you.. wishing i could spend this holiday season with you. (and i guess the other guy also).
Merry Christmas and have a great time off of work. Hope you all have a warm comforting place to stay and, more importantly, a chance
(and some drive) to spend it with someone truely important.
